  They say a rolling stone gathers no moss. If the saying holds true, then Dana Coppafeel need not worry about gathering any superfluous growth on his resume because the Milwaukee MC is on a serious roll, whether solo or as part of KingHellBastard. What Coppa DOES gather around him are capable collaborators, as exemplified by his latest release "Know Flight Zone" with producer Reason. Over eight multicolored tracks--which also includes instrumentation and co-production from Kiran Vee of Uni-Fi labelmates Fresh Cut Collective--Coppa stretches out lyrically and stylistically, effortlessly adapting his flow to Reason's wide-ranging sonic palette. Whether it be the seductive vibe of "She Likes The View", the introspective earnestness of "How It Seems", or the pop-inflected buoyancy of "It's Our Year" and "Hiccup", the veteran MC sounds at home and comfortable. Rounding out the EP are guest appearances from Adebisi, Prophetic, Grindtime heavyweight Fresco, G-Eazy, T.A.Z. and Elle Razzberry and, while everyone acquits themselves superbly, Dana Coppafeel is clearly not in the business of being outshone and the vibe remains consistently his own. ... more
